These gel padded bike shorts work extremely well for short rides. We've had several rides of 10 to 15 miles round trip with no irritation. On a longer ride, 35 miles round trip, the padding no longer sheilded my bottom from constant pressure. It was also difficult to tell if the padding was in the correct position. I suspect this is normal & acceptable. I like the shorts. They work as advertised. I would definitely buy them again & maybe with more padding.I have one pair of nice bike shorts, I wear them on long rides. They are expensive, so I bought a few pairs of these. I put them on every day and go for an hour-long ride in the morning or at lunch, I've gone on a few several-hour gravel rides too. The oldest pair I have is about six months, but it is still in good shape so I bought a few more. Nothing fancy, but functional.Note: I am 6'2 with a 32" waist, I bought the mediums which are just big enough to not need the draw string. Probably I should have gotten a large, but this motivates me to slim down a bit more.At first I was concerned the padding wouldn't be enough for my longer rides but I've been comfortable. The shorts look and feel nice and the padding isn't noticeable.Very comfortable! Pockets with secure zippers and velcro. Nice design and tough materialI have had these for a few months and work great, as well as many much more expensive shortsI am a size 35. I ordered both Large and medium. The medium fit well. I have ridden with them three times. I find the pad a bit bulky but ok. Nicely tailored.I was unsure about the quality fit comfort etc based on the price.
